In 1996 I bought a painting by Rudolf Stingel from the Paula Cooper Gallery. She had just moved her gallery to the Chelsea area in New York City. The staff I met on my first visit, Steve Henry and Anthony Allen, are still with her. I was taken by her demeanor; strong, confident and knowledgeable. She is still at that location and is still a strong voice in the world of art.
