In the Studio
The Artist’s studio at The Art Lofts
Keeping my studio safe means reminding myself I am in charge and judgement from others doesn't exist. I read somewhere "You really only embarrass yourself if you never embarrass yourself." Especially in the studio: if you are trying to cover your tracks or make sure you have an art object at the end of the day, it will always be mediocre. You have to be open to what isn't immediate in your work, be open to what can come from the material. If you believe in
that, ideas can happen that
are outside of you.
